22Kymco X-Town 300i is expected to launch in India in December 2020 in the expected price range of ₹ 1,85,000 to ₹ 1,90,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to X-Town 300i are Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 & Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The X-Town 300i ABS is currently 22Kymco’s flagship offering for the Indian market. It is a full-fledged maxi-scooter with large dimensions, tall windscreen and a powerfully motor.
The X-Town 300i ABS is a proper city prowler that is also equipped to take on highway trips. It features a twin headlamp design, LED tail lamp and turn indicators flush into the front apron. It has a large single-piece seat with a step-up which provides support for the rider and better vision for the pillion. The maxi-scooter is equipped with a large 12.5-litre fuel tank that aids in lesser trips to the fuel station.
Powering the X-Town 300i ABS is a powered 276cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill with fuel injection that is capable of churning out an impressive 24.2bhp and 25Nm with a CVT gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by 37mm telescopic forks up front and a twin shock absorber setup for the rear. For braking, the scooter has disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with dual-channel ABS. The scooter rides on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear aluminium alloy wheels shod with wider profile tyres.
The X-Town 300i ABS will carry a premium price tag of Rs 2.30 lakhs (on-road) and will be officially introduced in the market in September this year. Currently, the maxi-scooter faces no competition in the India two-wheeler market.
