Expected Launch: Jun 2020Audi Q3 has recently pulled the wraps off the 2020 Q3 Sportback, the coupe version of the Q3 SUV. The coupe SUV comes with a distinguishing sloping roofline that adds to its sporty character, along with several other elements that differentiate the new Q3 Sportback from the standard model. The signature design feature, of course, is the octagonal Singleframe, which underlines its membership of the new Audi Q family. Audi says, "The new model combines the strong presence and versatile everyday convenience of an SUV with the sporty elegance and agile handling of a coupe."
To give the 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback that additional aggressive look, the carmaker has gone with more prominent design lines along the wheel arches. Furthermore, the shoulder line has also been lowered so they now cut through the door handles as opposed to above them, as seen on the Q3 SUV, thus creating a more sculpted design. The grille gets a black honeycomb pattern with chrome surrounds, along with trapezoidal air inlets, which are connected by a horizontal blade in the bumper. The narrow headlights run inwards with their wedge shape and also come with the company's Matrix LED technology as an option.
The new Q3 comes with Audi's signature single-frame octagon grille with chrome elements and chrome surrounds. On either end, the SUV now features stylish all-LED headlamps, while the top-end version gets Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam. The rear end features a new pair of sleek LED taillamps with a cluster design that mimics the front DRL pattern. Globally the new-gen Audi Q3 will go on sale later this year as a 2019 model, while India is expected to get the car sometime in the second half.
The new Audi Q3 scored 95 per cent for adult occupant protection and 86 per cent for child occupant protection. In terms of safety assist systems the SUV scored 85 per cent. On the features front, the new Audi Q3 comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen display that features Audi smartphone interface links customers' iOS and Android cell phones and places their Apple Car Play or Android Auto environment on the MMI display. Internationally, the 2019
